We are pleased to announce that this year's installment of Critical Themes in Media Studies is open for proposal submissions. This year’s conference theme is Transgressing Media. Conference details and submission guidelines can be found here: http://criticalthemes.newschool.edu/2014/call-for-proposals/

Proposal submissions are due by January 15th, 2014. The School of Media Studies focuses on the

intersection of theory and practice-based scholarship. In accordance with our tradition, we encourage the submission of proposals that include short abstracts for papers, projects, and presentations from theorists and practitioners, including collaborations. We encourage graduate students from every concentration to submit and present amongst the top theorists and practitioners in the field of media studies presenting at our conference next spring.
