Holy Cross High School traces its history to 1838 when Blessed Fr. Basil Moreau founded the Congregation of Holy Cross. In 1955 the Congregation of Holy Cross established Holy Cross High School in New York City, in the Borough of Queens. The safe and beautiful neighborhood of Holy Cross is easily accessible. The professional faculty at Holy Cross are well-experienced and adept at implementing educational practices and techniques designed to meet each student’s individual learning style. On June 5, 2026, the S.O.C.A. Club hosted its first-ever Caribbean Festival in celebration of Caribbean Heritage Month! 🌴🎶

The evening was filled with vibrant performances, rich culture, and incredible energy as students came together to celebrate the traditions and spirit of the Caribbean. It was a night full of pride, community, and unforgettable memories.

Holy Cross students had the opportunity to showcase their hard work, curiosity, and commitment to scientific discovery at the annual Science Research Symposium, affiliated with the University at Albany’s Science Research in the High School program.

The three-year program, which begins in sophomore year and continues through senior year, gives students the opportunity to develop an original research project while working with an external mentor. Each year, students present their progress, gaining valuable experience in research, communication, critical thinking, and college-level academic expectations.

We are proud of our Science Research students for their dedication, curiosity, and commitment to academic excellence. Congratulations to all who participated!

They stepped back in time, channeling the opulence of the Jazz Age with a spectacular Great Gatsby theme at The Mansion at Oyster Bay. Yesterday, we said goodbye to the Class of 2026 as they celebrated together one last time at their class BBQ, signed yearbooks, and picked up their diplomas.

Students in Mrs. Nitti’s Italian classes recently participated in our 5th Annual Zeppole Making activity. They enjoyed preparing, frying, and decorating traditional Italian zeppole, which they were then able to enjoy afterwards.

This hands-on experience gave students an opportunity to learn more about Italian culture and traditions while having fun working together!
