Thank you to Anthony Williams, founder of Vivid Advisory and Certified Financial Planner, for speaking with students about financial literacy, investing, professionalism, leadership, AI in the workplace, and the importance of surrounding yourself with positive people while preparing for the future.
Thank you to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office for welcoming our students for National Law Day and providing them with the opportunity to observe court proceedings, hear from assistant district attorneys, learn from law enforcement professionals, and receive valuable words of wisdom from District Attorney Darcel Clark and her team.
Thank you to Kerri Connelly ’17 for returning to Cardinal Spellman to discuss her journey from Spellman to Arizona State University and now Morgan Stanley, where she works in financial crimes prevention. Students learned about identity theft, phishing, cybersecurity, and protecting consumers in today’s digital world.
Thank you to Erica Strunkey for spending time with our students and sharing professional insight and encouragement as they continue preparing for college and future careers.
Thank you to Dr. Peter Maghella for an unforgettable day at Spellman. From speaking in classrooms to addressing more than 200 students in the auditorium, Dr. Maghella shared stories from his 30 years in the U.S. Navy, supporting President Bush, and being at the Pentagon on September 11th, while delivering powerful lessons on perseverance, leadership, and resilience.
Thank you to Michael Potenza ’87, Vice President of National Instruction, and Jeffrey Sampson of Becker Educational Services for speaking with students about accounting pathways, CPA preparation, and opportunities within the financial profession.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.
May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we continue to honor their legacy through service, gratitude, and faith.
From all of us at Cardinal Spellman High School, we wish our community a meaningful Memorial Day.
