There can never be enough spaces for Latinxs on campus. Much of the energy and funding of Columbia's Latinx community goes to groups catering to individual nationalities. While those groups are valid and important there is also a need for more pan-Latinx spaces. Please show your support of Alianza by filling out this petition!

Hello everyone! As you may know we are in the process of editing and publishing our annual zine! This year we accepted not just poems and short stories, but also photography and music! We would like to acknowledge the amazing work of Kachi Iwum Daniela Dos Santos, and Anya Srvic who designed, shot, and did the makeup for the zine! Thank you all for your dedicated work! Attached below is an excerpt from Kachi and please preview the zine photos before its release!

The Proud Colors Spring 2017 Zine Shoot “Chiron” captured q***r students of color, each member posed in make-up, props, and colored lighting that reflected their astrological sign. During the shoot, models were asked to explain their “chiron”, a word in astrology known as our “deepest wound”. How does love play into your life? When was the last time you laughed? When was the last time you cried? These photos captured their answers, and their moments of reflection. The shoot was directed by Onyekachi Iwu, and photographed by Daniela Dos Santos. All makeup was done artfully by the wonderful Anya Srvic, whose page can be found Annya S. freelance make-up
