Today is the last meeting of the semester :( See you in room A644, 1-2pm for a mini farewell party and some last few feminist rants 💘

The hypersexualization of young girls has been rampant in our society for ages: from getting cat-called before I got my first period to seeing all these sexy ads trying to market to young girls (American Apparel and Ambercrombie & Fitch anyone?). It's infuriating and saddening to think that young girls can't enjoy their childhood because society is just trying to "adultify" them through sexualization. You should all to watch the documentary "Miss Representation" (on Netflix) that talks about sexism in American media and how the media sells us this idea that a women's value lies in their youth, beauty and sexuality, which is definitely NOT true that's the same mentality that perpetuates r**e culture 😒

Come an hour early (room A644) for a mini photoshoot for our social media campaign. During the meeting we'll be holding e-board elections for the upcoming academic year, if you'd like to run email [email protected] with the position you're running for and why.
