New York Salsa Congress What an unforgettable weekend 💗

Our hearts are so full after last weekend celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the New York International Salsa Congress 🗽

This congress holds a special place in our hearts. Our Director, Jackie, & Jr have been working this congress since day 1! With all the trials, hardships, ups and downs, they’ve remained loyal to the community!

We have attended NYISC since our very first season. This year was special because some of our teams got to participate in the Saturday Nught Documentary Special “La Finca”, honoring the origins or the NYISC and David Melendez. 🥹

David Melendez holds a very special place in the Figueroa Family’s hearts & is a HUGE reason why Elite Stars exists today. Our kids got to honor him by recreating some old routines from David’s studio, Starlite. Our Fuerza de Fuego Team recreated a Heartbreak Boys piece💔, our Fuego Eterno Team recreated a Sweethearts piece 💕, and A2Z recreated a Heart N Soul piece 🔥(If you look closely you’ll see 10 year old Ms.Danielle 🤭)

It’s an honor to represent the next generation! We love our NYISC family 🫶🏼 Thank you for such a memorable weekend!

Last week, 2 of our dancers recieved their black belt promotion Excel Martial Arts ! Congratulations Anissa for receiving your black belt and Mia for leveling up to Black Yellow! 💪🏼

It was great to support our current dancers while seeing some former students and Alumni!
