His Broadway, Off-B’way, and touring performance credits include: STARLIGHT EXPRESS, THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG, PEG (Starring Miss Peggy Lee), A TRIBUTE TO AGNES DEMILLE, NUNSENSE, STREET SCENE, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, SHENANDOAH, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and LES MISERABLES IN CONCERT where he played the role of Jean ValJean. Michael was handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to sing the music of the Phantom opposite Sarah Brightman in Lord Webber’s original international concert venture THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER. A sampling of his solo concert performances include THE LYRICS OF TIM RICE at Holder’s House in Barbados, THE NIGHT OF 1000 VOICES at London’s Royal Albert Hall and in Belfast, Ireland, SONDHEIM TONIGHT at the Barbican also in London, A SALUTE TO STEPHEN SONDHEIM at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Bernstein’s MASS at Carnegie Hall, and the Richard Rodgers’ Gala/Pittsburgh CIVIC LIGHT OPERA 50TH ANNIVERSARY. Michael was Associate Director for two national touring companies of THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBER in CONCERT starring Petula Clark & Michael Bolton. Michael co-directed and starred in POSTCARDS FROM BROADWAY for the Hong Kong Musical Theater Federation. He has also directed numerous industrials, special events, and ‘in concert’ musicals and was the co-producer /director for A TRIBUTE TO NEW YORK CITY, in NYC’s Central Park featuring the Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra and The Voices of Broadway ‘Live’, D. He also conceived and directed the musical r***e L’AMOUR…AT THE MOULIN ROUGE, for the Hoboken Historical Museum’s Masked Ball at Hoboken’s Lackawanna Terminal. In Canada, he stepped in for the legendary performer Colm Wilkinson in Livent’s original production of MUSIC OF THE NIGHT and played opposite Betty Buckley in the American tour of the same show. Michael toured the USA & Canada with the Pulitzer Prize-winning producer/director Joshua Logan in Logan’s MUSICAL MOMENTS featuring songs from many of his stage musicals and films. Michael has given numerous master classes around the world and has served on the voice faculties of the College Conservatory of Music/University of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University, Long Island University/CW POST Campus, New York University/CAP 21, and the Hong Kong Academy of the Performing Arts.
