5th grade is taking hands on learning to a whole new level. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, our 5th graders are taking advantage of the spring season and applying their gardening skills. Our routine visits to our very own garden will be paired with math lessons infused with real world problem solving.
A school that reads together, grows together. At FLI we celebrated all things literacy today. We wore book related shirts, dropped everything to READ, shopped at the book fair, and listened to guest readers across classrooms. Our youngest learners in K-3 even got to attend a Book Character Brunch where they snuggled up with a book character stuffed animal, read to them, and then ordered snacks off a menu. It was a literacy packed day and the best way to end the week!
