If you’re constantly wondering, “Is this normal?” when it comes to your newborn’s sleep… you are definitely not alone 😴🍼

Newborn sleep can feel unpredictable, confusing, and different from baby to baby. Some sleep in short stretches, some are extra sleepy, some want to be held constantly, and others seem to have their days and nights mixed up. There is a wide range of what may be considered normal in those early weeks.

If you ever feel unsure about your baby’s sleep patterns, behaviors, feeding, or wakefulness, don’t hesitate to reach out to your pediatrician with questions or concerns. Trust your instincts 🤍

✨ Remember: every baby is different, and comparison can make the newborn stage feel even more overwhelming.

Hot weather can be really overwhelming when you have a baby, especially when you are trying to figure out what is safe and what actually matters.

This is a simple breakdown of -based tips to help keep your baby safe in the sun and heat, from understanding when sunscreen is appropriate to recognizing early signs of overheating.

Little things like shade, breathable clothing, and frequent feeds go a long way in protecting babies since they cannot regulate temperature the way adults can.

Save this for summer days out and share with another parent who needs it ☀️💛

Some newborn behaviors can look scary at first… but may actually be completely normal depending on your baby’s age, feeding patterns, development, and overall clinical picture 👶🏼✨

In this video, I’m breaking down 5 things that often worry parents — but may not always be cause for concern. Every baby is different, and what may be normal for one baby may not be normal for another.

Always bring any concerns or changes you notice to your pediatrician’s attention, especially if something seems unusual for your baby or your instincts are telling you something isn’t right 🤍

🚨 Inclined infant sleep is something many parents don’t realize can be risky—especially because it often looks safe or even “more comfortable” for babies.

But when babies sleep at an incline (in swings, loungers, bouncers, car seats outside the car, or inclined sleepers), their head can tip forward, which may restrict airflow and make breathing harder than it appears.

💡 Babies have limited neck strength and control, especially during sleep. That’s why a flat, firm sleep surface is consistently recommended for infant sleep safety.

🛏️ Safe sleep reminder:
• Always place baby on their back
• Use a flat, firm surface
• Keep the sleep space empty (no extra cushions, toys, or positioning devices)
• Transfer baby to a crib/bassinet if they fall asleep in a device

It can feel convenient to let babies “finish their nap” in a swing or seat—but safe sleep is about what happens when they’re asleep, not just how they fell asleep.

❤️ Awareness = prevention.

We teamed up to share a simple, easy-to-remember way to think about safe sleep for your baby. 💛

When you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or navigating those early newborn days, having a clear, straightforward reminder can make all the difference. Our goal is to take something that can feel complicated and make it feel more approachable for every parent and caregiver.

Because safe sleep isn’t about perfection—it’s about awareness, consistency, and knowing the basics you can always come back to.
