Class of ’01,

I wanted to share some sad news. Our senior class sponsor, Mrs. Mary Brent Marks, has passed away.

Mrs. Marks was truly one of a kind. She brought incredible energy, enthusiasm, and heart to everything she did, and she took great pride in helping plan and support our senior year activities. Many of us have fond memories of her dedication, spirit, and unwavering support of our class.

She is survived by her husband, Al, and her son, Alex. Please keep them in your thoughts as they navigate this difficult loss.

Hopefully everyone checking this room for updates is aware that the group has moved to public group called James Madison Class of 2001. Same name but different group. If you're having trouble finding it add a comment to this post and we will send you an invite. Details for the reunion which is Sept 30th are located there as well as in the link below.

Reunite on Saturday, September 30! It's two years past our twentieth, but it's never too late to catch up with our fellow Mavs.

Hello Mavs,

Quick update on the reunion. In light of Delta we have decided to delay the official reunion until next spring/summer. This will also give us some more time to fundraise and drive the cost down a little bit so that more people are able to participate.

We know that a number of you still might be interested in meeting up this year. Charissa, Michael and Aaron are going to take the lead on coordinating a small meet up on Oct 23rd. They are working on finding an outdoor venue that can accommodate and will be sharing more details here in the coming days. If you have interest in attending that event please do reach out to one of them over FB messenger so they can start to collect an accurate headcount. We will also be posting sign up sheets for the committees to help with planning for the official reunion in the coming weeks. You will be able to sign up here on this site or physically at the smaller get together in late October.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to post here or reach out over messenger. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Ok, so I have had a few of y'all asking about another reunion this June. Some couldnt make it last year etc. So I was wanting feedback from the '01ers. Is that what y'all want? If so, when and where?

Hello all! For some reason fan pages don't have the ability to message members with updates so we're creating a group called "James Madison Class 2001 10-Year Reunion". Alright everyone! One last chance for those of you who haven't taken the survey to provide feedback on where you want to have the reunion. At the end of the week we'll look at what the majority of the class wants and we'll announce in early January so people can start plan accordingly. Get excited we're only about six months away!!

If you haven't already, please take a minute to complete the reunion survey so that we can start to finalize the plans for next summer's reunion. Obviously we'd like to plan something that the majority of the class will want to do, but we need your input in order to do that. Takes less than 5 minutes. We will make the final plans in December so please take it ASAP.
