Rain may have changed the plans—but it didn’t change the spirit of Field Day this year! ☔️💚
From bubble wands and obstacle courses for our youngest learners to indoor games, teamwork, and nonstop energy across both campuses, last Thursday was a reminder that the best school memories aren’t made by perfect weather—they’re made by community.
There was cheering. There was laughter. There was a whole lot of joy in motion.
And somehow, moving Field Day indoors made it memorable in its own special (and fun) way!
This is the kind of school experience students carry with them long after the day ends.

We’re spending this month celebrating the people who shape our school community—and on May 1st, for Principal’s Day we began with our Head of School, Anna Rita. 💚
From heartfelt cards and videos to spontaneous dance parties, our students and staff made one thing very clear: leadership is felt most deeply in the moments of connection, joy, and care.
These photos and videos capture the spirit of our school community that feels seen, supported, and genuinely excited to be together.
If Anna Rita has impacted your child or family, leave a note, memory, or kind word in the comments below—we’d love to celebrate her together.

How does a 3-year-old make sense of the world?
Through real, tangible experiences that turn curiosity into understanding.
In our “Sharing the Planet” unit, our Preschool 3s Spanish students explored animals through purposeful, Montessori-style work: making jugs (juice), counting with animal counters, and studying butterfly and chicken life cycles.
And then they took that learning into the city.
On neighborhood walks, students observed spring in real time—flowers blooming, colors changing—and began to understand cambio (change), making connections to how seasons influence what we wear and what we do.
This is how meaning is built—through experience, connection, and discovery.

Walk into a room where 10 and 11 year olds are confidently speaking about real world issues—and you’ll understand why this moment matters.
This is PYP Exhibition.
Our Grade 5 students at Pine Street School stepped into the role of researchers, advocates, and change-makers—exploring issues that matter to them and sharing their thinking with purpose and clarity. What stood out the most? Their confidence. Their curiosity. Their belief that their ideas can make a difference.
