Here’s the thing, bestie: Spanish classes shouldn’t feel like a lecture.
A generic curriculum has nothing to do with your actual life.

Because someone learning Spanish to finally talk to their suegra needs something compleeetely different than someone who wants to stop freezing every time a coworker switches languages.

👇🏼 Opening your mouth is step one. What happens after matters just as much.

Because yes, it’s true: the students who become conversational are usually the ones who start speaking before it feels easy. Before they feel ready. Before their brain is like, “Perfect, we are fluent now.” Cute idea. Not how it works. 😅

But that does NOT mean we just throw you into random conversations and hope your nervous system figures it out. No gracias.

👩🏻‍💻 In our classes, we build speaking practice around the conversations you actually want to have.

Because someone who wants to talk to their partner’s family needs different Spanish than someone moving abroad, traveling through Latin America, working with Spanish-speaking communities, or trying to stop freezing every time a waiter asks a follow-up question.

So we focus on the real stuff: your life, your personality, your opinions, your sense of humor, the words you actually reach for in English, and the moments where you usually get stuck.

That’s what we help you build. Poco a poco. 💛

We’re people just like you, bestie: curious about language, culture and who are willing to take a leap to learn and expand their reach of the world. Also, we’re always up for a good chat (or a roast of your ex!)

We believe learning Spanish doesn’t have to be rigid or overly formal (with generic vocab you won’t use anyway). We love hearing your stories, discussing the messy parts of life, but mostly celebrating every win of your Spanish + personal journey, no matter how big or small!

Two things we LOVE so much about Presley’s story:

1. Spanish didn’t just become a skill for her. It became a door.

To Ecuador. To the Peace Corps. To a life that felt bigger than the one she had always known.

2. She didn’t want to sound like a “good Spanish student.” She wanted to sound like Presley.

Which means casual, expressive, a little unfiltered when needed. Including slang and some bad words your textbook would absolutely never teach you. 😂

Because confidence in Spanish isn’t just being able to say the correct sentence. It’s being able to tell the story the way YOU would actually tell it.

That’s what we care about in class. Helping you feel more like you… en español.

Big shoutout to one of our students btw, who just got back from 3 weeks in Guatemala!
7 hours of classes a day. Living with a Spanish-only household. Felt very confident with his Spanish and now came back with new words, and a whole lot of stories to tell in class.

The most frustrating part about this stage?

You KNOW you’re capable of more.

You can feel the words somewhere in your brain… but real conversations still make you freeze, overthink, or switch back to English halfway through.

That doesn’t mean you’re bad at Spanish btw. It usually just means nobody ever taught you how to feel comfortable using it naturally.

Ok but these are the kinds of updates we LIVE for 😭💛

“Wait I understood the song.”
“I helped someone in Spanish today.”
“I actually kept the conversation going.”

Like YESSSS 😭

Because becoming conversational isn’t one giant magical moment.

It’s a lot of little moments where you suddenly realize:
“…oh wait. I’m actually doing it.”

Getting to watch you become more confident, expressive, and more yourself in Spanish is seriously the coolest thing ever. Un abrazooo 💛
