EXHIBITION JGARCHITECTS: "NEW WAYS OF WORKING" EXHIBITED AT SUNY / FIT
JGArchitects is pleased to announce that its “New Ways of Working: Evolving Lunch Rooms” Benchmarking Research was included in an exhibition entitled “New Views” at the State University of New York / FIT, John E. Reeves Great Hall on West 27th Street in New York City.
The study focused on five JGArchitects’ projects: Epsilon, world’s largest email marketing company; the Permanent Mission of Barbados to the United Nations, the Chancery for the Mission of Trinidad and Tobago to the United Nations, Quad Capital [Trading Floor], and Unified Social, a tech/media firm.
JGArchitects’ research concerned firstly, location of the Lunch Room in the office; whether it is integrated into Conference Center, extending into hallways as Grab ‘n Go, doubling as Reception/Waiting, etc…; and included how it is used: as alternative work area for “all hands” and informal meetings; for after hour events; for games; for in house presentations; as well as incorporating flexibility: movable walls; furniture which can store away easily and compactly; multi-scene sensor-driven lighting systems also controlling multiple window treatments; to anticipate future unknown uses.
