Using mixed research methods, the report examines the ways in which these students develop a sense of belonging and civic identity and the role of schools in influencing student growth and development. The report presents findings on diversity and inclusion, student belonging and wellbeing, civic identity, rights, and civic engagement, and school and community participation, as well as policy recommendations for key stakeholders.

The Center for African Education's final event for the semester is Wednesday April 7th from 12:30pm-2:00pm EST. The event, Working in Africa, will create a forum for current students to ask TC alumni from the International & Comparative Education Program about their experiences navigating the processes and pathways post-graduation in finding a job working on the African continent. The alumni will present their current or past positions working in various regions in Africa, then answer general questions and give advice during the panel discussion. Current students will then have an opportunity to meet and ask more direct questions to each of the alumni speakers based on their experiences. The event is a great opportunity for current students at any stage with multiple interests to learn about navigating the post-graduation atmosphere. Learn more about the alumni presenting and speaking at the event from the attached flyer.
