Last month we celebrated our Dean’s List students, scholars whose dedication and excellence earned one of Kingsborough’s highest academic honors.
These students balanced coursework with jobs, family responsibilities, and other commitments while continuing to achieve at a high level.
We were honored to hear from our alumni keynote speaker and KCC Foundation Trustee Jerry Gilbert, who shared a powerful message with our honorees:
“What KCC gave me was not just a transcript. It gave me proof that I belonged in rooms I had not yet entered. Stepping onto this campus and finishing what I started showed me that excellence was not reserved for someone else. It was available to me, on my terms, at my pace.”
He reminded students that the Dean’s List is more than an academic distinction—it is evidence of the grit, determination, and perseverance required to succeed while navigating life’s many responsibilities.
