Last week, the Léman community came together at the Broad Street Ballroom for the 8th Annual Rise Against Hunger food packing drive. Thanks to the generosity and hard work of everyone involved, Léman has raised over $9,000 for the organization and packed more than 20,000 meals!
This amazing event brings students, faculty, staff, and families together to support the New York City community. The packed meals are distributed to orphanages, hospitals, and schools in areas of greatest need.
A big shoutout to Ms. C for her dedication in coordinating this wonderful Léman tradition! Go Bulls!

In PreK 2, the students honored Martin Luther King Jr. and his message of respect for all by creating a "Peace Tree" in their classroom!
First, Ms. Lawton and Ms. Covarrubias led the class in a read-aloud of the book "Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Dreaming of Change" by Joel Kupperstein. The class discussed how MLK Jr. noticed that not everyone was being treated with respect, and how important it is to show kindness toward others. The PreK 2 students reflected on ways they can spread peace and love in their everyday lives, and the teachers transcribed their words onto the leaves for the "Peace Tree."
Be sure to keep swiping through the photo gallery to see PreK 2's completed classroom "Peace Tree!"

6th Grade students explore frog dissection! In class, they are learning about human anatomy and explored this by observing how organs and body systems function in a real organism.
This hands-on experience builds lab skills like making observations, conducting conclusions, and analyzing scientific diagrams. Frog dissection supports IB Science principles by promoting inquiry-based learning, hands-on investigation, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. By exploring anatomy in this way, they gain a stronger foundation for future scientific inquiry and problem-solving.
