Can art save lives? 🎨💡
At NYU London, this thought-provoking question brought together global leaders in the arts and well-being movement, including Steinhardt faculty and alumni. Supported by SW London Women—which was co-founded by Steinhardt Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board member Shoba Gayathri Nahappan (MA ’06, Visual Arts Administration), this collaboration with NYU Steinhardt’s Jameel Arts & Health Lab was a powerful reminder of the impact of creativity on health and communities. In this two-week program, students evaluate songs, practice using new recording technology, and learn from Grammy-winning producers about today's approaches to recording music. The program, a partnership with Universal Music Group, the world's largest music rights owner, allows students to meet and spend time with creators and executives across the multiple music business sectors in Nashville, TN.
