A call for 2020 Youth Music Festival Audition Submission for young musicians (ages 7 to 16)
Each applicant must submit an audition video recording (1-3 minutes). Music may be in any style but should be something young musicians are currently playing.
Selected young musicians will work with NYU composers to create new music and perform it in September at NYU Loewe Theatre.
*All instruments and voice.

ALL Composers from NYU (Faculties, alumni and current music major student composers):
Youth Music Festival 2019 will present 25 new works which to be performed and created with young musicians for the concert on the 19th of October. Deadline of submitting score and midi file: July 13th (Saturday 5 pm) Duration: 1-3 minutesContext or topic: Something unique and exciting for composers and musicians Technical difficulties: beginner, intermediate and a few advanced levels Available instrumentation as follows:

Please send an email to [email protected] by May 20th, if you are interested in. In the email, please indicate which instrumentation that you are interested in. YMF will pair composers up with young musicians based on your interest and request. Once you get paired up with young musicians, you will start to communicate with your performer/co-creator to talk about the piece via email, phone call or in-person meeting. After coming back from summer vacation in September, composers will schedule rehearsals with young musicians for a couple of times.
First come first serve base so please act quickly.

Announcement for Youth Music Festival 2019
Youth Music Festival is a musical platform that composers from NYU meet young musicians to advocate New Music.
YMF is looking for young musicians, who reside in the tri-state area, interested in learning and making new music with composers from NYU. Please submit your video audition tape by March 31st to [email protected] Duration of a video should be less than 2 minutes. Any voice, solo instruments, duet, trio, choir, and small ensemble are all welcome.
YMF will pair a composer with selected young musicians to create new music and the concert will be held in October at NYU Frederick Loewe Theater.
