A lot of people ask what โ€œimproving educationโ€ actually means in practice.

For us, itโ€™s pretty concrete: supporting teachers, strengthening school leadership, and making sure students are building foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

Thatโ€™s the work.

Girls mentoring girls ๐Ÿ’›

Through our mentorship program, students are building confidence, sharing experiences, and supporting one another as they grow. These spaces create connection, encouragement, and the belief that every girl can succeed.

Because when girls uplift each other, they rise โ€” together. Thank you Together Women Rise for supporting this project!๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฑ

May 25 was Africa Freedom Day โ€” a day to reflect on the ongoing work of building stronger, more equitable futures across the continent.

Education remains a critical part of that work. When students have access to consistent, high-quality learning, it creates pathways not just for individuals, but for communities over time. Weโ€™re proud to support that work alongside partners, educators, and families โ€” and to be part of a broader effort focused on long-term progress.

Across our schools, students are actively engaging in lessons โ€” asking questions, collaborating with peers, and building skills that will carry them far beyond the classroom. With strong teaching and supportive environments, learning becomes something students are excited to be part of.

Great classrooms start with great teachers. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ“šBehind every engaged student is an educator guiding the lesson, adapting in real time, and creating a space where learning can thrive.Through training, support, and collaboration, teachers are strengthening classrooms every day โ€” helping students build the skills and confidence they need for the future.

Because when teachers are supported, students succeed. ๐ŸŒฑ

Mentorship in action across our schools ๐Ÿ’™

Students who completed our primary program are now returning to mentor younger girls, creating spaces for connection, encouragement, and growth. Through mentorship sessions, students build confidence, engage in open conversations, and support one another as they navigate challenges both inside and outside the classroom.

These peer-led sessions remind us that education is about more than academics. Itโ€™s about supporting the whole student and helping young people thrive. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š

A special thank you to Together Women Rise for supporting this pilot as part of our broader project to strengthen opportunities and support for girls.

Pads sewing at Mnyaula ๐Ÿชก๐Ÿ’› Students are learning how to create reusable sanitary pads โ€” gaining skills that support their health, confidence, and ability to stay focused in school. By breaking down barriers to attendance, weโ€™re helping ensure that every girl has the opportunity to learn without interruption.

Small skills. Big impact. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š

April 28th is Kenneth Kaunda Day ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฒ A founding leader and advocate for unity, dignity, and education, Kenneth Kaunda believed deeply in the power of people coming together to build a better future. His legacy continues to inspire generations to lead with compassion, purpose, and a commitment to equity.

Today, we carry that spirit forward by working alongside communities to expand access to quality education and opportunity.

A glimpse into everyday learning ๐Ÿ“š

In classrooms like this, students are building the skills, confidence, and curiosity that shape their futures. With supportive teachers and engaging lessons, learning becomes something students want to be part of.

This is where impact happens โ€” one lesson, one question, one student at a time. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ
