Since the last time we posted so much has happened!
Founder Rosa Chavez Gaffney no longer teaches at High School of Fashion Industries and now teaches at Murry Bergtraum High School
This move not prompted nor wished by our vice president was the result of an investigation initiated by HSFI principal Daryl Blank.
Needless to say she is heartbroken and devastated. Fifteen years of teaching fashion was one of the biggest joys of her life and it ended in an unjust and demoralizing manner that eroded at her sense of purpose.

Counting down to retirement was NOT where she wanted to be, she had more faith in the ‘leaders’ that oversee a system that serve millions of underprivileged inner city public school youths and was let down as a teacher.
But as a Non Profit Founder, she will not be beaten. Her life story was the catalyst to our mission, surviving poverty to make her grandmother proud and offering her experiences like study abroad to her students.
But today that has changed and as a teacher at Murry Bergtraum, we will pivot to serve them.

It is with great pleasure and honor to present Ms. Lisa Rosa, stepping up as President of our non profit.
Lee, as she is known, is the CEO of and life long friends of our former President Ms. Chavez
She was here for the birth of our mission and is here in it’s expansion phase!
Lee will be taking our non profit to higher levels, concentrating on growing the need for tailors.
The truth is that the sartorial skill is an art form that has been receiving its recognition, take note of
Yet we are in danger of losing it among our disenfranchised youth.
