Hey scholars! Learn about the medical implications of high …
High cholesterol is an excess of fats in the blood. The liver produces a healthy baseline level of cholesterol to help the body digest food, but levels can sky-rocket when consuming foods high in “saturated fats” and “trans fats”.
A build up of cholesterol in the blood can harden and form plaques in our arteries, obstructing blood flow to vital organs, such as the brain (causing a stroke) and the heart (causing a heart attack). Risk factors for high cholesterol include poor diet, obesity, and lack of exercise.
Check out the link in our bio for more details on how to detect high cholesterol and reduce their health complications! ♥️ 💪🏾🔬👩🏽⚕️
