Hello 84 Community! PTA nominations are coming up and we do not have enough nominations for 2025-2026 PTA Board.

Currently, we are still in need of 2 more nominees:
1 for co-secretary
1 for co-treasurer

If you aren't a fan of having to 'run' against someone -- don't worry! If 2 more people are nominated, we'll have just the right # of Board members!

🎉 Tomorrow's the big day! PS84 Winterfest kicks off at 11am. Here are 3️⃣ ways you can help make it awesome:

1️⃣ Spread the word to your fellow class parents 📱👩‍👧‍👦 Are you on a text thread with your class? Remind them! Many parents aren't in this group or even on FB.

2️⃣ Let your neighbors and friends know 🗣️🏡 The more foot traffic, the better for our vendors and our school!

3️⃣ Volunteer if you can 🙌💪 Even an hour helps! We still need help with tables (raffles, crafts, cotton candy), and set up/clean up. Every bit of help goes a long way, and we truly appreciate it.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

One of PS84's very own ( Panettieri of The Brass Owl/The Tiny Owl) is masterminding the upcoming Ditmars Halloween Parade and Block Party this Saturday 10/26 and she needs our help!

1. Thurs 10/24 (2pm-5pm): Assembling googie bags for all the kiddos (800 this year 🤪!)

2. Sat 10/26 (930am): Parade set up at Steinway Playground basketball courts

3. Sat 10/26 (1030am): Block Party set up at Parade ending (near Rivercrest)

REMINDER: Movie night, this Friday 🎥 👻

Please join us Friday October 18th for a Family Movie Night! Event starts at 5:30pm with music, concessions and a craft.

Movie starts at 6:30pm.

The kids voted in school and the movie will be Hotel Transylvania! 🧛
This is a free event and will be outside in the school yard. Bring your blankets and chairs and join us for a scary good time!
Costumes are welcomed and encouraged for both kids and adults!

We will be hosting our annual Winterfest holiday market on Saturday, December 7th in our school cafeteria. We are on the lookout for VENDORS! 🎁🛍️

For the past 2 years, we’ve hosted over 40+ amazing vendors selling everything from jewelry to crafts, delicious food, beauty products, and so much more! 💍🍪🧴
