Philip Liew ’22 is our next Alum Shout Out!
After graduating from DLSA, Philip went on to Regis High School, where he graduated this spring. Philip will soon start his freshman year at the University of Virginia, studying Commerce and Chinese. This summer, he is hiking the mountains of Taiwan, continuing his internship as a transportation management consultant at PTSI Transportation, and working as a debate instructor at a debate camp. (He competed in the national debate circuit for the past four years!) This past year, DLSA was fortunate to have Philip spend part of his time as a tutor with our students!
Philip says of his time at DLSA:
“The world is a diverse place, and DLSA is a diverse school. To encounter such a wide array of cultures, schools of thought, and classmates that come from zipcodes all over the city is what made me a more open-minded and critically minded student. Every part of DLSA's classrooms encouraged me to ask questions, journal my thoughts, voice my ideas and be surrounded by classmates who loved to do the same. And to have that opportunity in middle school is something very few students ever get.”
