We All Rise! Poetry of Truth! Tahitia Foggie💕 Black in America

August 25, 2023 a quick stop at a Dollar General
A racist White man with an arsenal
Took the lives of three innocent Black people

Last year May 14, 2022 a visit to Top's Supermarket
10 Black people were murdered, they were a young White racist man's target

Because these men were filled with hatred
Loved ones are making funeral arrangements

When will America stop being in denial
That black lives are treated at trifle
Black people being killed is a vicious cycle
Our protection is vital
We emphasize Black lives matter
Because it is for our own survival!!

Children don't know the dangers that await them
But black children are forced to know them sooner than white children
It is for their own protection
Black in America!
Don't you love her!

Denying and ignoring racism
Permits racism to grow
To where it gets out of control

It allows the insecurity or belief one has to become full fledged
You constantly walk around on edge

Racism is nothing but fear
Fear of another race of people
It is hatred of God's people!

To deny
Is to live a lie

If you don't like someone because of something they did that is understandable
That is even relatable
But don't hate a whole race of people because of one individual!

If you are bold enough to exercise hate
Be bold enough to delegate
Sit down and talk
Don't be a coward, don't rebuff
Speak your mind
Put it all on the line
Because enough is enough!!

When we mention black lives matter, America wants to change the subject
The injustice black people experience daily is chronic
To ignore it is toxic
More needs to be done to stop it
Because all this murdering of black people is wrong and catastrophic!

First to be betrayed
