We asked students: how will you chose a college?

Nearly half (47%) say it’ll be all about the “best overall fit.” Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered with rankings, guidebooks, and articles to help you confidently create your college list and find your perfect match!

So, is college still worth it? The answer is a Resounding YES! 99% of students and parents believe a college degree is worth it; and 46% say the biggest benefit is a better job and income while 29% say college will expose them to new ideas, places, and people.

We asked students: how necessary will financial aid be?

A staggering 98% of those surveyed said they plan to apply for financial aid, with nearly half stating it will be “Extremely” necessary to pay for college, and 29% saying “Very” necessary.

What’s the toughest part of the college application process these days? And just how stressed are students about it? 🤔

According to our 2025 College Hopes & Worries results, 35% of students say completing applications and financial aid forms is the toughest part, while 32% are feeling the pressure of test-taking. 44% report high stress, and 29% say they’re feeling very high stress. That’s a lot of pressure!
