Shin Shin Kai Zen
(Mind Body Improvement Usui Reiki Ryoho)
The mission of Usui Reiki Ryoho (Healing Art/Method) is to enhance mutual well-being for oneself and others, on one hand, by fulfilling a peaceful and joyful life mentally

and physically and, on the other, healing the sick.
- USUI Mikao Sensei (1865-1926)

Komyo ReikiDo (The Way of Komyo Reiki) is Hayashi Shiki Usui Reiki Ryoho. Komyo ReikiDo, the system Inamoto Sensei has created, presents Reiki as it was understood and commonly practiced in the 1930’s in Japan. This system places emphasis on spiritual enfoldment through the practice of Reiki Ryoho, aiming for “satori” or enlightenment. Komyo ReikiDo is a “keep it simple” Reiki style that follows the oral teaching tradition. Teaching manuals are supplemented by the wisdom and knowledge of the Shihan/Teacher. The name(Komyo Reiki Kai)" has changed to "Komyo ReikiDo.” in October, 2016 by INAMOTO, Hyakuten Sensei, Founder, Komyo ReikiDo. he name change reflects what Komyo Reiki is - a spiritual path. The focus is more on a spiritual aspect of Reiki Ryoho. "DO" in Japanese literally means a path or a way, and its connotation is spiritual practices or training as in
- Budo (martial arts
- Aikido
- Judo
- Karatedo
- Kendo
- Sado (the Way of tea)
- Kado (the Way of flower)
- Shodo (the Way of calligraphy)
- Bushido (the Way of Samurai warrior), etc. Komyo ReikiDo Practitioners and Teacher spiritual practices includes:
* Reiki Principles (Kyogi), Reiki Precepts (Gokai)
* Komyo ReikiDo Motto
* DO (Way, Path, Journey)

Reiki Ryoho is a healing practice that originated in Japan. Reiki practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above the person receiving treatment, with the goal of facilitating the person's own healing response. What is Reiki ?
靈氣-霊気-レイキ-REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese term.
【霊】Rei means the energy of the heaven.
【氣】Ki means the energy of the earth. The Japanese words “霊気 Reiki can be defined as a miraculous, ethereal, transcendental, and sacred energy of the universe, which sustains all life. Reiki is the name, used by Usui Sensei, for the energy of the universe. The word "REIKI" is a common noun in the Japanese language. PRACTICE
Each one has an innate ability to heal oneself. Reiki Practitioners are channels/conduit of this energy, allowing the energy of the universe to flow to the body and facilitate healing. During Reiju or Attunement, the Reiki Teacher awakens the power of healing in one's hands. REIKI RYOHO
Reiki Ryoho is generally practiced as a form of self-care. Reiki can be received from someone else and may be offered in a variety of health care settings, including medical offices, hospitals, hospices and clinics. It can be practiced on its own or along with other Complementary and Alternative therapies or conventional medical treatments. The practice of Reiki Ryoho is non-duality and democratic in approach-no dependence on gurus, masters or teachers. Reiki Ryoho has twofold purposes: healing and spiritual. Deeds are the criteria of a good Reiki Practitioner or a good Reiki Teacher. As Reiki Practitioners, we strive to live a healthy and happy life by practicing Reiki Ryoho guided by Reiki Kyogi (Reiki Precepts). BENEFITS OF REIKI
Stress reduction
Improve overall health and well-being: energetically, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Promotes qualities of loving, caring, compassion, trusting, peace, serenity
Ease pain and discomfort
Strengthens the immune system
An intelligent energy that goes to the greatest need

簡素 (kanso)

簡 (kan) - “simple,” “uncomplicated,” “free from excess.”

素 (so) - “plain,” “natural,” “unadorned.”

Kanso teaches that when we remove what is unnecessary, what truly matters begins to shine. In simplicity, there is clarity. In restraint, there is beauty.

森林浴 (shinrin-yoku)

森 (shin) - “forest,” “woods.”
林 (rin) - “grove,” “woodland.”
→ 森林 (shinrin) = “forest.”

浴 (yoku) - “bathing,” “immersing oneself.”

To immerse yourself in the forest - not to accomplish anything, but simply to be there, breathe, listen, and let nature quiet the mind.

侘び (wabi)

侘 (wabi) - “quiet simplicity.”

び (bi) - the grammatical ending that forms the noun 侘び (wabi).

Wabi teaches us that beauty does not always live in abundance or perfection. Sometimes, it is found in what is humble, unfinished, and quietly authentic.

There is beauty in things that have nothing left to prove.

August is a deeply reflective month for our lineage and practice.

August 15th, we honor the birth anniversary of Mikao Usui (1865–1926), founder of Usui Reiki Ryoho.

August 19th, we celebrate the birthday of my cherished teacher and Sensei.

August 29th, the birthday of my beloved daughter who walks this path by my side.

As these milestones converge, I am reminded that the practice of Reiki Ryoho is not just a tool for healing, but a lifelong spiritual journey anchored in the daily practice of the Gokai.

Deep gratitude for the roots of our practice and the teachers who light the way. 🙏🌸🙌

Please enjoy this musical reflection of the Gokai to accompany these sacred August milestones. 🎶🙏🌸"
