A weekend intensive for actors wanting to strengthen their process through practical, professional, hands-on work

WHAT IT IS
An intensive three-part, ten-hour film and TV performance workshop that spans a weekend— three hours on Saturday, followed by 6 to 7 hours on Sunday — that will allow actors to dig into challenging work under the exact conditions they'll encounter on set. (And What It’s Not: This not an audition workshop, nor is it any sort of “how to get representation” seminar. Every market I work in seems to have plenty of those. If that is what an actor is looking for, the workshop may not be a good fit.)
WHO IT’S FOR
The trained actor who’s probably more comfortable onstage, and is looking to both strengthen their on-camera process and increase their comfort level on set. Typically, my workshops are a mix of actors new to my training and actors who have taken my workshop several times.
The intensive is not a good fit for the introductory actor.

- because the work is hands-on, I limit the workshop to ten actors. You’re paying to work as much as to learn, and that size allows the actor to do both.
- I assign the material and the partners in advance. NOTE (PART 1): I will NOT send work more than three days in advance. This is often your timeframe in television, so I want you to get used to it. NOTE (PART 2): however, you WILL need to be off book at the beginning of the workshop. The experience is “front-loaded,” so the more prepared you are coming in, the better your overall experience will be.
- The Saturday session is when we “work” the scenes. The Saturday session is closest to a typical scene-study class, but tailored for work on-set.
- The Sunday AM session is when we shoot. It moves fast and is fun, but a lot of work.
- The Sunday PM session is when we watch the day’s footage, and offer feedback.
