Another glowing testimonial from a student. What are you waiting for? Let’s get to singing and growing!
"I am a high school senior and singer/actor who has been a voice student for over five years. Over those five years, I have been through a handful of coaches and teachers who have not come close to the level of knowledge and skill I have gained from just ONE lesson with Lindsay. Lindsay's understanding and expertise of the voice are unmatched, and her ability to convey not only the abstract ideas surrounding the voice but the actual scientific, nitty gritty, of what the body is doing whilst singing is something magnificent. Her warm, playful, and inviting energy makes lessons a safe place to try and fail and just have fun. Voice lessons, which have felt like a chore with my previous teachers, feel like chatting with a friend. I have only taken three lessons with Lindsay and in that time my voice has grown in ways I cannot even comprehend. She has given me tricks and skills that have brought my singing to a new level, and I am so excited to keep learning from such a kind, supportive, and incredibly equipped professional. My voice simply has NEVER been stronger! I cannot recommend studying voice with Lindsay enough!"

Another glowing testimonial from high school student Sadie!
I started taking lessons with Lindsay when I was in the middle of a production almost a year ago. I suddenly noticed changes in my singing style after only a few sessions. A few weeks ago, I began working on audition prep with Lindsay and landed a huge role in my school’s production. She helped me pick the best song for my voice that would showcase much more than just my ability to sing. She coached me in practicing a monologue, and she taught me how to connect my acting skills with my singing ones. Thanks to her, I was able to get this amazing part. I couldn’t have done it without her help.
Not only is Lindsay an amazing teacher, but she is such a joy to work with. She always brightens up my day and lets me talk about anything and everything before we get to work. Whether it be about school or friends, Lindsay is always there to listen and to laugh. Because of Lindsay, days where I have lessons are just a little more fun. You can tell Lindsay loves teaching her students, and I am grateful every day that I get to work with her.
Come sing with me! There’s still availability! 🪄🎶
Big wins at the studio this week! High School Senior Hannah was cast as Pamela in Head Over Heels in NYC and High School Sophomore was cast as Fastrada in Pippin at her NYC High School! Congrats Hannah and Sadie!
Here’s another testimonial from a college student:
I met Lindsay years ago when she was the music director for a production I was in. Without much technique, I was pretty intimidated by her, because I looked up to her greatly, and how incredible of a performer she was. I vividly remember thinking: “Wow, it must be amazing to sing like her!” Now almost five years later, we have reconnected, and I have been coaching with Lindsay for about 6 months now. I truly do not recognize the singer that I am today. Lindsay doesn’t just help you with your technique, she helps to build your confidence as a singer and a performer. Things that I would have never attempted all those years ago, I now attack with a fervor that surprises me and excites me. Whether it is going into a big audition, or just singing around the house, I have grown to feel genuinely good about my performances. Not only do I learn technique with her, but her energy, excitement, and enthusiasm for my growth allows me to believe in myself as well. I just know that if me five years ago knew I was working with Lindsay today, she would jump up and down, because Lindsay is just that incredible!
Here's another wonderful testimonial from a long time students mom!
"Lindsay is a dream. My daughter, Jessi, had known Lindsay for many years at sleepaway camp, where Lindsay directed Jessi in multiple musical productions. The confidence she instilled in Jessi as a performer at a young age most definitely helped Jessi to become the confident person and performer she is today, at 18. Not only did Lindsay instill confidence in Jessi, but she also showed her so much love, a truly safe space to explore her talent, and acting/vocal skills that will serve Jessi for the rest of her life.
After a few years of lost close contact due to busy schedules, Jessi and Lindsay somehow got back in touch at the beginning of Jessi’s senior year in high school - something that can only be explained as serendipitous. Jessi began working with Lindsay on her college audition journey, and we could not be more grateful for that experience. Lindsay helped Jessi with her repertoire (something that seems to always be Jessi’s biggest challenge!), technique, and in-the-room audition prep. Lindsay became a consistent sounding board for Jessi and for me throughout what tends to be an extremely exhaustive and stressful process.
We have adored and respected Lindsay since Jessi first had the honor of working with her at just 10 years of age. That adoration and respect has since grown and bloomed into a lifelong respect and friendship that will never subside.
Jessi is now a college freshman, studying for her BFA in Musical Theatre, at a wonderful university within a conservatory-style program that challenges and excites her. I know she will be coming back to Lindsay throughout her life for coaching, audition prep and guidance, and I know Lindsay will never ever turn her away.
Lindsay is an absolute gem and a gift to anyone who is lucky enough to work with and learn from her!"

See what another student says about working with me!
“I’ve been studying under Lindsay Spangenthal’s expertise for approximately 5 years now, and she has seen me through 2 Broadway Shows, including my Broadway Principle Debut as Jenna in Waitress, and serving as Carolee Carmelo’s Standby in the 1776 Revival. She has also seen me through 3 1st National Tours during our time together. Needless to say- she is the best in the business, and I highly recommend studying with her if you would like to reach the next level of your artistry, and discover what your voice is truly capable of. She is incredibly nurturing, professional, passionate, and truly loves helping people find their own unique sound. In addition to her expertise, she is also a dynamic, empathetic human being, and creates an environment for vulnerability to flourish. She has helped elevate my vocal performance, confidence, and technique in ways that I could never have imagined. Thank you Lindsay, for helping this small town girl find her way, both on and off the stage.”

Enjoyed seeing my long time student Hannah as Alice in the Addams Family at LaGuardia High School. She worked so hard from preparing to performing!
See what current students and parents are saying about working with me!
Lindsay is an amazing teacher and mentor. My dream was always to get into musical theatre. Being 28 with no experience in acting, singing and dancing made me completely lose my hopes. Lindsay was really supportive from day one! She was sincere and explained to me how "extra challenging" my route would be, due to my background, but she did not let me give up. She provided me with all the techniques to help me explore and get familiar with my voice mechanism. By our 3rd lesson, I was already seeing incredible changes. No Joke!!! We have been working for the past 7 months, and my voice has changed significantly! Lindsay has helped me find and love my voice! She has also taught me to interpret and incorporate acting into the songs. Lindsay shows passion for her work in every session. She is really knowledgeable and always brings something new to each lesson to help me achieve the next level. More than helping me find my voice, Lindsay has helped me feel more confident and comfortable when singing! She is caring, passionate, fun, supportive and patient! Thank you Lindsay for everything and for not letting me give up!
- Monica (28 year old student)
My daughter came to singing at age 11 and is naturally studious and reserved. We knew she would have a lot of catching up to do. Lindsay’s extensive library and network is outstanding among the music teachers we have worked with. Her dynamic teaching style builds an intuitive body awareness and has fostered a confidence that spills over into other areas of my daughter’s life. Working with Lindsay has given her the courage to audition for and get parts that she only dreamed of.
