Hello All! Come out to celebrate Women’s History Month with us tonight at 6:30!

Meet your fellow Marketer, Samiha Huque!! She is a senior marketing major at Tobin.

"I was originally a computer science major for my first two years but it wasn’t creative enough for me and programming was something I enjoyed learning on my own as a hobby. I became a marketing major because it allows me to combine my technical, analytical and creative skills."

"I love marketing because of how quickly it evolves. A couple of years ago, the field of marketing, in general, was used to describe the work that is now glorified in Mad Men. Marketing now is much more driven by technology than anything else and there are so many different areas of marketing someone can go into. A few years ago, digital marketing was people placing banner ads to get consumers to make purchases. Then it evolved into SEO, Paid Search, and Display Advertising and I think it’s really cool."

"I’m passionate about my culture. I’m Bengali and I can speak Bangla fluently. I love going back to Bangladesh, I love our food, music, and traditions. I’m also really good at doing henna and it’s something I definitely would like to create a business out of someday."

Tuesday was the Digital Couture Project: Epson X NYFW. A few lucky students got to go and experience one of the most famous events in fashion. In the coming days, we will post interviews with the students that went! Let us know if you attended fashion week and we will share your experience with your fellow students

"I am a senior in the 5 year BS/MBA Computer Science and Business Administration combined degree program. That means I will graduate with a Bachelors in Computer Science and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics. I am also minoring in Cyber Security. Because of this, I am a student in CPS and Tobin Grad"

"I aim to be a CEO of a major tech company, which would utilize all of my fields of study. Since this is a big aspiration, I may create a startup tech company after graduation, or work with a company and make my way up. I also plan to be president someday and make the world a better place by setting a good example and combatting corruption and greed"

"I currently work at St. John’s University with Conference Services. I started working in the busiest Rite Aid in the district as a cashier. Within 6 months I was promoted to manager level at the age of 18. I then worked as a manager in a different location. I previously worked as a teaching assistant with elementary and middle school students"

"I can be considered a “jack of all trades”. I play sports, was a varsity athlete in high school, I play the guitar and piano, I am an honor student, and am in a variety of honor societies and clubs on campus."
