The 18th/19th Century Literature Working Group offers community discussion and reflection on the latest scholarship and research in these centuries — as well as their literature's impacts on the modern world. We welcome students, faculty, and independent researchers from all disciplines to join us for events ranging from lectures and seminars to roundtables that aim to complicate and interrogate this rich time period!

Join us tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 19) for a night of political theater put on by Professor Greg Vargo — as members of the Fiasco Theater will present a Zoom reading of scenes from "John Frost, A Chartist Play" (1841).

The 7-8:15 PM EST event celebrates the publication of Vargo's "Chartist Drama" and will include an introduction to the play and its cultural moment by Vargo.
