2️⃣ "𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗯𝗼𝘅" 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲. Sony found these 30k+ tracks using audio fingerprinting during court discovery. If you're clearing AI tech for projects, assume ingestion sources will eventually come to light.

3️⃣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. The lawsuit calls out stream-ripping YouTube tracks (via tools like YT-DLP) as a direct violation of DMCA anti-circumvention rules. It’s not just about what the AI outputs—it's how the dataset was built in the first place.

Relying on unvetted, scraped datasets is becoming a massive liability. Clean, fully opt-in training data is quickly becoming the only safe path forward.
