Before the cold weather sets in, it's time for the final basil harvest! 🌱
I like to make sure absolutely none of this garden gold goes to waste. I save the seed heads for next year's planting, hang a bundle to dry for herbal teas and pantry seasonings, and blend the rest with a little extra virgin olive oil to freeze in silicone trays.
Dropping one of these frozen cubes into a soup, pasta, or sauce in the middle of winter is the perfect way to bring back that fresh summer flavor.
