This week was full of surprising news. Marymount Manhattan College, a small private college in NYC known for their performing arts programs, was recently acquired by Northeastern University and will soon be known as Northeastern-NYC. The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA abruptly closed its doors, leaving students and faculty scrambling. Did anyone see this coming? When looking at schools, researching their financial viability is now a must - although it may be difficult to do.
