Truly effective leadership is the ability to blend productivity with compassion. An emotionally intelligent boss understands this delicate balance—achieving goals while also fostering an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and understood.
Leadership is not just about results; it's about relationships. An emotionally intelligent boss knows that nurturing employees leads to a healthier, more motivated team capable of achieving great things together in the long run.
If you are in a position of leadership (not just by title), remember that your legacy will be defined not just by what you accomplish but by how you uplift those around you in the process.

This week: I was so honored to facilitate a and retreat with my wonderful former colleagues and staff in New York City government.
We engaged in team building interactive discussions and activities, problem-solving strategies, ways to support mental and emotional health personally and at work.
I missed these wonderful people and got to meet new ones. 💙
It is crucial and commendable when agencies prioritize the well-being of their employees.🙌🏽

👉🏽 It is important not to provide bandaids for a team that feels undervalued and unappreciated, such as ordering food, a one day retreat without follow up, etc.
👉🏽 It is important to consistently nurture and value your team's feedback in order to create a healthy and resilient work environment.
Do you agree or disagree?
