Education Moms Marketplace is a new startup that focuses on all things education! We provide access to great tutors, counselors and skill based courses. Our aim is to help kids in grades 8-12 get the absolute most out of their education and prepare for a great life after high school.

We seek a publicist/media relations pro to help spread the word.

Ideally we’d like someone who has established media contacts and can connect with influencers in education and parenting channels.

Responsibilities include:

Developing media relations strategies
Organize events and earned media
Assist in social media development
Grow followers and volunteers

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role
Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print)
Background in researching, writing and editing publications
Proficient at social media
Strong communication ability (oral and written)
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
