One of the biggest things parents don’t realize about language development…

is how important verbs are.

Comment START and I’ll send you a resource to help you begin building language today.

We often focus on nouns first:
ball, car, dog, cup.

But verbs are what actually build language.

They give children the ability to:
👉 combine words
👉 form sentences
👉 express what’s happening

Without verbs, language stays stuck at single words.

Instead of just saying:
“ball”

Try:
“throw ball”
“roll ball”
“catch ball”

Now you’re modeling action + meaning.

And that’s what helps toddlers start using more words.

The best part?

You can do this all day long in moments you’re already in.

Cooking → “cut, mix, pour”
Bath time → “wash, splash, dry”
Play → “push, go, stop”

You don’t need more time.

You just need to start adding verbs to your everyday talk.

If you want help getting started with the right words to use, comment START and I’ll send you the resource.

For every mom who’s been told to ‘wait and see.’ 👇🏽

That moment when it clicks. When a child realizes oh, I can just SAY it, is everything.
No meltdown. No guessing game. Just a little voice finally finding the words that were in there all along.

This is what I’ve spent 20+ years doing in clinics, early intervention programs, and living rooms just like yours.

And here’s what I know for certain: you don’t need a therapy degree to make this happen.

You need to know what to do during snack time, bath time, and the car ride home.

Most parents think they’d know if their toddler had a language delay.

After 20 years as a speech-language pathologist, I can tell you,  most don’t. Not because they aren’t paying attention. Because they’re watching for the wrong things.

Word count is the most visible sign. But 6 of the 10 signs I look for have nothing to do with how many words a toddler says.

Swipe through. I’m not going to give you a checklist. I’m going to show you why the signs most parents are tracking aren’t the ones that matter most.

The full breakdown, all 10 signs, what each one looks like, why it matters, and what to do next, is in the free guide. Link in bio. Save this. Share it with a parent who’s been told their toddler will probably catch up.

If this has ever been you, comment SIGNS and I’ll send you where to start.

There is no one more stressed than a mom watching other toddlers talk… while hers doesn’t.

It’s not jealousy.
It’s not comparison.

It’s that quiet feeling of…

“Should I be worried?”

And then later you tell yourself it’s fine.
That every child is different.

But the question is still there.

If you’ve ever felt that…

you’re not doing anything wrong.

You’re just in that space where you haven’t been shown what actually helps yet.

And that’s something you can change 💛

👉 Comment SIGNS and I’ll help you get clear on what to do next.

Sometimes it’s not that you’re not doing enough…

It’s that no one has shown you what actually helps.

And that place, where you’re trying, but still unsure, is one of the hardest places to sit in as a parent.

If your toddler isn’t talking the way you expected…

you’re not doing anything wrong.

You just need clarity on what actually makes a difference 💛

Tonight’s forecast for toddler speech development: a strong Wait and See front stalling through the 18–36 month corridor, with an 80% chance of nothing changing if we continue to do absolutely nothing.
(I wish I was joking.)

Wait and see is not a plan. It never was. And you do not need a referral, a diagnosis, or anyone’s permission to call Early Intervention and request a free evaluation for your child today.

The 0–3 window is the most critical period of brain development that exists. It does not pause for a wait and see front to pass.

👇 Comment TOOLKIT and I’ll send you exactly who to call and what to say because your child’s development deserves better than a 20% chance of catching up on their own.

Most parents don’t know this and it costs their child months.

You do not need your pediatrician to refer your child for early intervention services. Federal law gives you the right to call your state’s Early Intervention program directly and request a free evaluation.

All you need is a concern.

The Know Before You Go guide breaks down everything, your rights, who to call, what to say, and what to do if the system pushes back.

Don’t let another month go by without this information. Comment TOOLKIT below and it’s yours. 👇
