LION Lately:

Several LION ES staff came together to participate in Walk MS in support of two of our fellow LION colleagues. Walk MS is a community-driven event that raises funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis, supporting research, resources, and hope for those affected. Thank you to our wonderful LION family for raising much needed money and awareness for MS; you rock!

Our awesome LION Juniors learned about college life at SUNY New Paltz while also attending a college fair. We love seeing our scholars actively participate in the college selection process and take ownership of their very bright futures. College and career readiness is a true foundation of life at LION High School, and we couldnโ€™t be prouder! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

At LION, our students are consistently working to improve their character and show up as leaders, regardless of incentives or praise offered. This makes being able to recognize our scholars in fun and creative ways even more meaningful and special. Check out our awesome LION MS students shopping the Kickboard store - where theyโ€™ve turned their positive behavior and support of the community into tangible rewards!๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

Right now, our middle school students in the World Scholars program are in Costa Rica, taking part in hands on learning that goes far beyond the classroom.

From restoring a local community center to learning about endangered species at an animal sanctuary, students are bringing our community and family pillars to life in meaningful ways.

Experiences like this reflect what makes our middle school at LION so special. Students are building real world skills and confidence while preparing for high school and what comes next.

That foundation continues across our K through 12 experience, where students are supported and challenged at every stage.

Now that the lottery has taken place, we are excited to be connecting with families and sharing what comes next.

If you received an offer, congratulations. We hope you will take the next step and secure your childโ€™s seat at LION Charter School.

If you are currently on the waitlist, we are continuing to make offers every day, with quite a bit of movement in the weeks following the lottery. If LION is where you hope your child will be, we encourage you to stay engaged and give the process a little time.

POWERED BY FAMILY, CURIOSITY, LEADERSHIP, SOCIAL JUSTICE, CHARACTER, AND COMMUNITY

With only a few hours left before the application deadline, many families are making important decisions about what feels right for their child.

At LION Charter School, students are known. They are supported. They grow in independence and in ways that extend beyond the classroom. There is a strong sense of community, a real partnership with families, and a focus on developing leadership, character, and curiosity in every student. Students are encouraged to think critically and engage with the world around them with purpose.

As Ms. Seda, the Director of Family Engagement at LION Charter Elementary School, shared:

โ€œServing as the Director of Family Engagement at LION Charter School Elementary School has given me a front row seat to the power of community and character building. Here, we do not just educate children, we uplift entire families. LION is a place where every child is supported, and every family is valued.โ€

The application deadline is tonight at 11:59 PM. If LION has been on your mind, this is the time to apply and keep this option open. Submitting an application ensures that your child can be considered when offers are made.

Whether you have already applied or are still deciding, we encourage you to take that next step before the deadline.

Apply now through the link in our bio.๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

POWERED BY CURIOSITY

At LION Charter School, students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and engage deeply with their learning.

Classrooms are spaces where students investigate concepts, challenge assumptions, and work through problems with purpose. They are given the time and space to think, to try, and to push beyond what they already know.

Students learn how to approach new ideas with openness and how to stay engaged when something feels challenging. They develop the ability to dig deeper, make connections, and take ownership of their learning in meaningful ways.

This approach shapes how students experience school and how they continue to grow over time. It supports a mindset that values exploration, persistence, and a willingness to keep learning.

For twenty years, this commitment has helped shape students who are engaged, thoughtful, and prepared to continue learning beyond the classroom.

Apply now. Do not miss the opportunity to join a school where students are encouraged to explore, question, and grow every day.

Apply by April 1 at 11:59 PM. Link in bio.๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™
