Fernando Bernierd was born in Lares, Puerto Rico, on February 14, a date that would feel symbolic of a life driven by passion, love, and artistic purpose. From a very young age, he showed a natural inclination toward acting and the performing arts. His first experience came under mentorship of the legendary actress Miriam Colón at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, a cornerstone institution for Puerto Rican and Latino theater.
During this early period, Bernierd met theater director Manuel Martínez, with whom he collaborated on several stage productions. The passing of his close friend and director marked a turning point in his life, motivating Fernando to create his own theatrical works and step fully into entrepreneurship and production.
Seeking to reconnect with his roots, Bernierd returned to Puerto Rico, where he co-founded Adal Events & Productions alongside his former partner. Through this company, he began his professional career as a promoter and producer, earning recognition for his dedication and vision. During this time, he had the honor of working with renowned artists. His work extended internationally, collaborating with artists from France and Spain.
Currently, Bernierd serves as producer of the concert Madre Mía Qué Merengue, working alongside celebrated artists. He is also the General Producer of the original musical Un Libro Abierto Seré, created in collaboration with musical director Jorge Brandon.
Beyond the stage, Bernierd is deeply committed to community service and humanitarian work, collaborating with organizations that provide aid during times of crisis and natural disasters, including American Viva. His life has also been marked by a courageous and ongoing battle with cancer—a fight he has faced with strength, resilience, and faith, emerging victorious and transforming his journey into a constant message of hope.
Fernando lives and works guided by a powerful belief: yes, it is possible. His artistic and personal path reflects a lifelong commitment to creation, compassion, and transformation, using art as a bridge between truth, healing, and community.
