Yes, content should add value, but everyone is making content that adds value right?

So what’s the difference between one persons value adding content and another’s?

Well, it’s down to 2 things;

1. Timing

If you talk about how to cook Thanksgiving turkey just before Thanksgiving, it’s value adding and useful.

If you talk about how to cook Thanksgiving turkey a week AFTER Thanksgiving, no one cares.

The value in both of those posts is the same - but one is more timely than the other.

When it comes to content, timeliness is defined by what’s trending right now.

So you need to tapninto that attention and shape your content ideas around that!

2. Relevancy.

Any niche has 100 different topics within it, so which ones should you talk about?

This is all about understanding your audience and what their needs are right now.

We are in a cost of living crisis – that means peoples disposable income is lower than five years ago.

That will affect what they look for and what they care about.

Your job is to tailor your topics around the environment and ensure that they remain relevant and, where they are value driven, something that people can take action on right now.

Now you can do that all on your own, or you can follow us, and we’ll do it for you! It’s like the inside track to growth on social :-)

AI is a huge tool for content creators - but how do you use it???

My recommendation is using it as an assistant that you work with.

For example, you’re looking for ideas on your latest skit. First, you should be priming your assistant with information about you so they know exactly what you’re looking for and i.e. asking it to ask you questions so that it can create the best results for you.

Then you should be working with it to iterate on those results. It’s not going to come up with the perfect idea or perfect script for you, but it will create a framework that you can work around .

The real result comes from a collaborative relationship with AI, rather than expecting AI to do all the work for you – which can often lead to vague ideas and suggestions around things that you don’t have expertise in.

Use the tools you have available to you to enhance what you do, not replace you :)
