As we close out the PSAL Summer Sports and Fitness Program for 2026, here is a look at the happenings at John Jay Campus in Brooklyn.
Hosting badminton, football, volleyball, fencing, table tennis, and track & field, the fun and excitement at John Jay, and all the sites hosting this summer, has been truly easy to see!

Session Two of the PSAL Summer Sports and Fitness Program kicked off on Wednesday with sites throughout the five boroughs once again hosting high school students ready and wanting to stay active and have fun!
James Monroe Campus in the Bronx is one of the sites in use this summer, and with baseball, soccer, basketball, and swimming as the sports taking place there, a great time was truly had by all.

The PSAL Summer Sports and Fitness program is well underway with students from each of the five boroughs enjoying a great time learning, training, playing, having fun in a variety of exciting activities.
Hillcrest H.S. in Queens is one of the hosts this summer, and with basketball, volleyball, soccer, and tennis as the sports there, it was a great time had by all on hand this past Wednesday.

The PSAL family is saddened by the passing of long time coach and teacher Carmine Colasanto this past Saturday.
Colasanto was the head football coach at Herbert Lehman H.S. for 32 years, compiling a record of 200-97-2 and helping the Lions become one of the top football teams not just in the Bronx, but in New York City overall. When he retired in 2008, Colasanto was the winningest football coach in PSAL history, but it was not just his strength on the football field that stood out, including sending many players to play on the collegiate level, it was his care as a teacher in the classroom to his students that proved to be equally as important to all who knew him.
The PSAL sends our deepest condolences to Colasanto’s family and friends.
