In honor of National Breastfeeding Month, I wanted to share a little piece of my own journey. 🤱🏻💗

Before Latched by Birth, before becoming an IBCLC, I was a breastfeeding and pumping Mama too.

I’ve been the Mama nursing wherever and however I could. I’ve been attached to the pump, watching every ounce. I’ve celebrated the wins, worked through the hard days, and wondered if I was doing it all “right.”

Those experiences are a huge part of what led me here and why supporting other families through Latched by Birth means so much to me today. 🫶🏻

And in January, I’ll get to begin my own breastfeeding journey again when baby #3 joins our family. 💙🤰🏻 Until then, I’m right here doing what I love, supporting families through their own journeys with Latched by Birth, LLC. 🤱🏻

So this Breastfeeding Month, I want you to know:

I’ve been here too, Mama.
I see you.
I’m here for you.
Let’s do this together. 🫶🏻💗🫶🏻

Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, working through challenges, or simply taking it one feed at a time, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Today, I am beyond excited and grateful to share that I have officially passed my exam and am now an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)! 🎉🤱💕

This journey began 8 years ago when I had my oldest daughter. As a new mom navigating breastfeeding, I quickly realized how desperately families need knowledgeable, compassionate lactation support. What started as a personal experience grew into a passion and eventually became a calling.

The road to becoming an IBCLC has been long, challenging, emotional, and incredibly rewarding. There were countless hours of studying, clinical practice, late nights, early mornings, self-doubt, sacrifices, and determination. Through it all, I was supported by so many amazing people.

To my family and friends… thank you for cheering me on, encouraging me when I felt overwhelmed, and believing in me every step of the way. Your support carried me through more than you’ll ever know.

To my 9 incredible mentors…thank you for sharing your knowledge, wisdom, patience, and passion with me. Each of you played a role in shaping the consultant I am today, and I am forever grateful for your guidance.

A special thank you to my own lactation consultant, Anna Moreno, who inspired this entire journey. The support and care you provided during my own breastfeeding experience showed me firsthand the power of lactation support and sparked a passion that ultimately led me here. You helped me when I needed it most, and I wouldn’t be celebrating this milestone today without the example you set.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the families who have trusted me to be part of their feeding journeys. Every family I’ve worked with has taught me something valuable and reinforced why this work matters so much. It is truly an honor to support you during such an important chapter of your lives.

Today isn’t just about a credential. It’s about being able to serve families at an even higher level and continue helping parents reach their feeding goals with evidence-based care, compassion, and support.

I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m even more excited for what’s ahead. ❤️

The last day of 2025 and today I finished my Lactation Internship Hours and applied for the Lactation Consultant Exam! Thank you to all my mentors who have taught me so much this year! I know the skills I have learned from you all will guide me for my entire career. I appreciate you all so much! Thank you to my husband, my family and my friends who encouraged me, helped me with watching the girls and kept me going! My next goal is to study and sit for the exam in April 2026!!!🤱❤️🎉💗👏🏼🎊
