debt can be a huge strain on your household finances and be a setback to achieving your financial goals. Lets look at some ways to change the narrative:

1. Understand how to read your credit card statement
2. Know the different types of debt and how they work
3. Create a plan for paying off your credit card debt
4. Consider getting a secured credit card if you have poor or no credit history
5. Make sure that you are not spending more than you can afford to pay back each month by using the 50/30/20 rule (50% should be spent on needs, 30% on wants, 20% on savings)
6. Find out what type of student loan repayment options are available for federal loans in order to find one that works best with your financial situation

They say cash is king , but without optimal FICO scores your buying power is limited. Cash today will be of lesser value in the future. In these current times, our government is just printing money...what kinda value does that have???
