One of the things I truly enjoy most is providing personalized, in-home infant CPR and choking intervention classes. ❤️

The one-on-one setting creates such a comfortable and interactive learning experience. Families have the opportunity to ask questions, practice hands-on CPR and choking relief techniques, and learn how to respond appropriately and confidently during an emergency.

This family was absolutely wonderful! The class flowed so smoothly, everyone was engaged, and their sweet little one made the experience even more enjoyable. Such an amazing baby! 🥰

This breaks my heart. 💔

One small peanut completely blocked this child’s airway. Choking can happen in seconds, and knowing what to do could mean the difference between life and death.

Please learn infant and child CPR and choking response—not because we want to imagine the worst, but because our children deserve adults who are prepared to act.

Popcorn is NOT safe for toddlers 🚨

It seems harmless… but popcorn is actually one of the top choking hazards for children under age 4.

Here’s why:
• It doesn’t dissolve in the mouth
• It breaks into dry, sharp fragments
• It can easily lodge in small airways
• Toddlers are still learning to chew and coordinate swallowing

All it takes is one laugh, one inhale, or one distracted bite.

A child’s airway is about the width of your finger. Something as small as a popcorn kernel can completely block it.

As a nurse and CPR instructor, I always recommend avoiding popcorn, whole nuts, hard candy, and similar foods until at least age 4—and even then, only with supervision.

Safer snack alternatives for toddlers:
✔️ Soft fruit (banana, berries, mango)
✔️ Yogurt
✔️ Cheese cubes
✔️ Steamed veggies
✔️ Crackers appropriate for age

Knowing prevention is important—but knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life.

If you care for children, learning infant and child choking rescue and CPR is essential.
