Coming out later in life is not just a beginning. It’s also an ending.

And the grief that comes with that ending is one of the biggest reasons women never walk through the door.

Here’s what I want you to know… You are not weak for feeling it. You are not broken for staying stuck in it. Your emotional system was literally built to keep hard feelings at bay. Guilt. Shame. Fear. Grief. It learned early that these feelings were not safe to move through. So it stopped them.

It worked then. But it’s running your life now.

The way through is not around the grief. It’s learning how your emotional system actually works so you can finally let it move through you instead of living inside you.

Is it selfish to want to be deeply aligned with your truth, even if that may disappoint some people and bring up difficult feelings?

Or is it selfish to continue to hold on to someone knowing we aren’t aligned with them anymore and cannot connect to them in both the ways we want and the ways they want?
