FinTech Demo Day Kick-Off Reception

EMTA invites you to the Kickoff reception for NYU Stern's Inaugural FinTech Demo Day. Prof. Kathleen DeRose, FinTech Executive-in-Residence at NYU Stern, will give an overview of the Demo Day and the application process. FinTech Demo Day, which will be organized in April 2017, will give you an opportunity to develop and pitch your product idea in front of panel of VCs and incubators. At the kickoff reception you will also network with potential team members. The event is open to all the students and alumni across all the schools in NYU. NYU Stern’s Entrepreneurship Club (EEX) is proud to present its first Venture Capital Showcase featuring Lerer Hippeau Ventures (LHV). In a TED Talk style format, a number of LHV’s most exciting portfolio companies will present their businesses to the NYU community. Each startup will share the story of their inception, their experiences with fundraising and their long term visions for their businesses.

We will be exploring artificial intelligence with x.ai, drone racing with Drone Racing League (DRL), the healthcare industry with Klara and how to find a job with WayUp (among a number of others yet to be confirmed)!

Julian Moncada, a member of the LHV team, will also be sharing the firm’s investment philosophy and perspective on the venture capital industry.
