"My name is Linda Hannah Rhoads and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I’ve lived in Texas my whole life and I attended a school called Yavneh Academy of Dallas.
My whole life I’ve always known I wanted to take a gap year in Israel, so my parents spent a lot of time helping me find the right program for me. I wanted to be in a place that gave me the freedom to explore my interests, live on my own, and learn more about my homeland. As soon as I heard of Aardvark Israel, I knew it would be the perfect place for me. I’m able to learn so much about Israel and explore new places I’ve never been to before. One of the main reasons I came on Aardvark was that I wanted the opportunity to intern and learn more about what I want to do in the future. Currently, I intern at an architecture firm called Kfir Shaked Architects and it has been such an amazing experience. I’ve always wanted to work in architecture so it has been so much fun being able to learn more about it!
Next year I am attending the University of Texas at Austin where I plan to study architecture and interior design! With all the things I’m learning here in Israel, I’m very excited to see what the future holds!
Fun fact: I can speak Spanish fluently since my mom is from Panama and taught me from a young age."
Fun Fact #2: Our Admissions Team is in now in Dallas for the BBYO conference, ready to tell you all about our gap year programs! Find us at the booth, or here if you just can't wait >> https://aardvarkisrael.com/

"I feel like I’ve gained a lot from Aardvark. I’ve gained a significant amount of confidence in regard to being on my own and dealing with my problems by myself. I really feel like I’ve found a lot more inner bliss and consciousness than I had before coming to Israel."
Shabbat Shalom, everyone! This week we would like to share with you Isabella Kindler's experiences from her gap semester so far. Isabella (or how we call her - Izzy) is originally from London (where our team is!) and went to the JFS. Read the full blog right here >>
