🆘 🚨 Calling All Scholars, Activists, and Future Change-Makers! 🚨

Are you passionate about policy, public health, or social justice? Are you a political science or health major—or simply someone eager to learn more about the transformative work happening right here in Illinois?

We need YOU!

We’re looking for 10 dedicated volunteers to support our Policy Summit, taking place October 3–4, 2025, at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Chicago.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
• Hear from leading experts and advocates
• Gain hands-on experience in policy discussions
• Be part of a dynamic team working to create real change in Illinois

Whether you’re a student, an activist, or a curious mind, your voice and energy can make a difference. Come be part of something impactful!

She is the daughter of Angela, granddaughter of Almeda and great granddaughter of Gladys. Her wildest ambition, greatest achievement, and her ancestors wildest dreams manifested this weekend..

It may April Fools but our founder’s Mama ain’t raise one… she did raise a Doctah tho 🙌🏾 🙌🏾! Allow us to reintroduce the woman behind this work…. She is Doctor Angèlique Evans, daughter of Angela Evans, granddaughter of Almeda Miller, and great granddaughter to Gladys Grant. First but not the last one with 3 stripes in this family!

Good Friday (3.29) was indeed a GREAT one for the Hei Butterfly Family. Dr. Evans defended her dissertation surrounded by love, favored by God, guided by her ancestors, and rockin the to rhythmic chants of her tribe screamin“ayyyyyyeeeee” along the way!

Her favorite part of her defense was her friend, turned advisor, and mentor askin what she’d tell her younger self… it’s all perfectly explained in the lyrics shared.

Congratulations, Doctah! You did ya Big One Friday for yourself, for your family, for your culture, and tha future!

The event is going to be amazing! Volunteers will receive free entry to the event, breakfast, and lunch.
