Check out our Mother’s Day event with the Sadiq Sisters! 🌸

Together, we painted what reminded us of our parents: what moved us, shaped us, and connected us across generations, young and old. Once again, we were able to reflect on the beauty of motherhood and what it means to be a woman surrounded by the love and support of our sisters. Especially during these difficult times, we honor and remember those who have passed, holding close the mothers, grandmothers, and loved ones whose love, sacrifice, and legacy continue to guide and strengthen us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special. And a special congratulations to our sisters who graduated and were unable to attend; we are so proud of you and celebrate your accomplishments with you.

This Mother’s Day arrives during a time of profound grief. As we witness the suffering and loss of Muslims around the world, many hearts are heavy—mourning mothers lost, children orphaned, and families forever changed.

Yet even in hardship, the beauty, strength, and mercy of our mothers remain a sign of Allah’s love. They carry us through pain, teach us patience, and remind us what steadfast faith looks like.

Today we honor all mothers—those with us, those we have lost, and those carrying unimaginable burdens across the world. May Allah protect them, elevate them, and grant comfort to every grieving heart.

Through our faith, our love for one another, and our trust in Allah, we hold on—and together, we endure. 🤍

اللهم احفظ أمهاتنا وارحم شهداءنا واربط على قلوبنا بالصبر والإيمان

“Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury.” (Qur’an 2:263)

This verse stayed with us after our most recent event.

It’s a reminder that our words, our intentions, and the way we treat one another matter just as much, if not more, than what we give. Coming together, we were reminded that true community is built on gentleness, forgiveness, and sincerity. We want to remind you that in times of sadness, happiness, and everything in between, you have a community supporting you.

Inspired by this ayah, we hope to carry that same energy forward: leading with kindness, uplifting one another, and creating spaces rooted in love and faith. Special shoutout to our sister for the beautiful painting featured in the background!

We can’t wait to have you all at our upcoming children’s and brothers’ events, inshaAllah!

May we always be guided by Allah, the Qur’an, and the Ahlulbayt, inshaAllah! 🤍

Eid Mubarak to our brothers and sisters near and far!

We kicked off Eid today with prayer alongside our NYU Islamic Center family, and it was a meaningful start. Wherever you are in the world, we’re thinking of you and hoping this year brings peace, ease, and good things to every single one of you.

Even in hard times, holding onto gratitude, and onto each other, is so important. Community is what carries us and reminds us we’re never alone.

Over the next few days, we’ll be throwing it back, highlighting our people, and sharing some exciting news we’ve been working on 👀

Stay close 🤍

The Sadiq Project was created from a simple belief: that knowledge is not just something we acquire, but something that shapes who we become. Rooted in education, mentorship, and community connection, our work supports families and youth as they learn, grow, and reconnect with themselves and one another.

Inspired by the teachings of the AhlulBayt (peace be upon them), we hold that learning is a lifelong responsibility and a collective act of care. Our classes and gatherings are designed to nurture curiosity, character, and a sense of belonging—bridging academic growth with spiritual and community based grounding.

Whether you’re here to learn, to support, or to serve alongside us, there is a place for you. We welcome students, families, volunteers, and community members who believe in growing together—one step, one lesson, one connection at a time.

Dua Kumayl is more than a supplication—it’s a quiet, honest conversation with Allah. Taught by Imam Ali (عليه السلام) to Kumayl ibn Ziyad, it shows us how to return to God without fear: naming our sins without despair, admitting our weakness while holding onto hope, and trusting fully in Allah’s endless mercy. This duaa invites us to feel first—regret, longing, humility—before relief, reminding us that Allah asks for sincerity, not perfection. Read it slowly, pause where your heart reacts, and let the words guide you back. Dua Kumayl is an open door—one we’re always welcome to walk through. A full recitation of Dua Kumayl can be found on our YouTube channel
