🏀🐾 Pete the Panther is celebrating last night’s Knicks win and he’s ready for MORE! 🐾🏀

This Monday, June 8th, PS 19Q is celebrating Knicks Day! Staff vs. staff fun and games in the gym during periods 2-7 while our students cheer them on. Come dressed in your Knicks gear or rep orange and blue and bring that energy! 🟠🔵

We’re hoping the Knicks bring back a 2-0 lead and keep this incredible undefeated streak alive when they return to the Garden on Monday night. Let’s match that energy at PS 19Q! 🎉

Our school colors may be blue and yellow, but we’re temporarily swapping to blue and orange to represent our state, our city, and our New York Knicks as they make their run in the NBA Finals! Let’s go Knicks! 🏀

They told him he would never walk. He ran the world. 🏃💙

Yesterday, PS 19Q welcomed Paralympic medalist and world record holder Blake Leeper (), whose story left every single one of us inspired. Born without both legs below the knee, Blake was told he would never play sports. He went on to win medals, shatter records, and compete on stages across the globe 🌎.

He showed us his running prosthetics, his everyday legs, and even what he can do without them. Strength, speed, and heart, all in one room with our Panthers 🐾 .

We are so grateful for this visit. Proof that limits only exist where we let them. 💛

Todos le dijeron que nunca caminaría. Corrió por el mundo entero. 🏃💙

Ayer, PS 19Q tuvo el honor de recibir al medallista paralímpico y campeón mundial Blake Leeper, cuya historia nos dejó a todos profundamente inspirados. Blake nació sin las dos piernas debajo de la rodilla y le dijeron que nunca podría practicar deportes. Pasó a ganar medallas, romper récords y competir en escenarios alrededor del mundo 🌎 .

Nos mostró sus prótesis para correr, sus piernas cotidianas, y hasta lo que puede lograr sin ellas. Fuerza, velocidad y corazón, todo eso en una sola sala con nuestros Panthers 🐾.

Estamos muy agradecidos por esta visita. Prueba de que los límites solo existen donde los dejamos. 💛

From tiny caterpillars to full-on butterflies 🦋 our students witnessed the whole transformation up close, and the magic didn’t stop there. During the release, one of our butterflies had a moment and landed right on one of our student’s ponytail. 🤩

Nature really said: you are one of us now.
