Some wisdom is written in books… and some is carried in the hands, prayers, kitchens, porches, gardens, and spirit of our people. ✨

Hoodoo reminds us that intention has rhythm, prayer has power, and even the days of the week can become sacred invitations to cleanse, protect, open roads, love deeper, and honor those who came before us.

May we remember what our ancestors knew, trust what Spirit is teaching, and move with intention. 🤎🕯️🌿

🕯️ Before some of us knew the word Hoodoo, we knew the practice.

Grandma prayed the Psalms over the house.
Someone put a little something in the bathwater.
Floors were washed with intention.
Candles were lit for prayer, protection, healing and remembrance.
Herbs weren’t just seasoning.
Oil wasn’t always just oil.
And certain things were simply explained as, “That’s what our people do.”

Hoodoo is an African American spiritual tradition born from the survival, resistance and sacred knowledge of Black people in the United States—carrying African spiritual wisdom forward while also drawing from the Bible, especially the Psalms, and other traditions encountered here.

And that’s why the history matters.

Some practices we now recognize only as “church,” “old-school,” or “something Grandma used to do” can overlap with generations of Black folk spirituality and rootwork. Religion didn’t necessarily erase the tradition—it often became part of the language our ancestors used to preserve it. ✨

This month, I want to remember deeper. Learn honestly. Honor respectfully. And talk about the things our ancestors knew long before we had names for them.

So tell me…
What spiritual practice did you grow up seeing or doing that you didn’t understand until you got older? 👇🏾

🍂✨ October feels like a sacred invitation to move differently.

Not from urgency.
Not from fear.
But from faith, intention, and the quiet knowing that what is meant to grow will grow when it is nurtured well.

This month, I’m welcoming the energy of 8—abundance, balance, power, alignment, and the reminder that what we pour into with prayer, discipline, and love can return to us multiplied.

May October bring a harvest that reaches beyond money:
more peace in your spirit,
more clarity in your decisions,
more reciprocity in your relationships,
more confidence in your boundaries,
and more evidence that God has been working even in the places you couldn’t see. 🌿

I am not chasing abundance.
I am becoming aligned enough to receive, steward, and sustain it.

October affirmation:
I trust God, honor my power, protect my peace, and make room for the abundance already finding its way to me.

Amen, Asé, & so it is. 🕯️✨

✨ Self-Love September may be ending, but choosing yourself is not a 30-day challenge. It’s a practice. A relationship. A way of living.

This month, we talked about rest, boundaries, healing, worthiness, softness, and speaking life over ourselves. But the real work begins when the posts stop and you decide to keep showing up for yourself anyway. 💜

Speak gently to yourself.
Pray over the places that still feel tender.
Give yourself permission to grow without rushing the process.
And remember—you don’t have to navigate every season alone.

If this month stirred something in you and you’re ready to go deeper, I’d love to support you through Intuitive Coaching, Reiki Energy Healing, intuitive/oracle readings, spiritual guidance, breathwork, meditation, and other Soultitude offerings created to help you reconnect with your mind, body, spirit—and yourself. 🪷

September planted the seeds.
Now we nurture what’s ready to bloom. 🌱✨

Self-love doesn’t end here. We’re just getting started.

There comes a point when you have to get quiet enough to hear yourself again.

Not the opinions.
Not the expectations.
Not the voices telling you who you should be, what you should choose, or how your life should look.

Just you… God… and the truth sitting softly in your spirit.

I’m learning that peace doesn’t always arrive with an explanation. Sometimes it simply feels like an exhale. Like something inside of you finally saying, yes… this is mine.

Self-love is trusting that feeling.
It’s honoring the woman you’ve become enough to stop abandoning her just because someone else doesn’t understand her choices.

Go within. Pray about it. Sit with it.
And when peace meets you there, let that be enough. ✨

You deserve to be someone you can trust, too.

Self-love isn’t always soft music and quiet mornings. Sometimes it looks like boundaries. Rest. Asking for help. Choosing yourself without guilt.

This September, remember: self-care is not a reward for surviving the day. It is a sacred way of honoring the life God gave you. ✨

Pour into you, too. You are worthy of your own tenderness.

Abundance doesn’t always look like more.

Sometimes it looks like peace in your body.
A slower morning.
A grateful heart.
The courage to stop feeding what drains you and start nurturing what makes you feel alive.

Today, choose small things that bring you back into alignment: breathe deeper, speak kindly to yourself, notice what’s already beautiful, and make room for joy without needing to earn it.

You don’t have to chase an abundant life. Sometimes you simply have to become present enough to recognize the abundance already surrounding you. 💜🩷🩵

Sunday reminder: What you consistently pour love, gratitude, prayer, and intention into has room to grow.

What are you making space for in this next season? ✨

🌕✨ Self-Love Saturday under the Full Moon.

Maybe this Full Moon isn’t asking you to become somebody new.

Maybe it’s asking you to stop abandoning the woman you already are.

The one who knows when something feels off.
The one who is tired of making herself smaller to keep the peace.
The one who has outgrown certain rooms, roles, habits, and versions of survival.

Some things don’t need another conversation.
Some things need a release.

And sometimes self-love looks like finally admitting:

This no longer fits the life I’m praying for.

So loosen your grip.
Tell yourself the truth.
Let the old thing be old.

You don’t have to drag every version of yourself into your next season just because she once helped you survive.

Tonight, ask yourself:

What am I ready to stop carrying simply because I’ve carried it for so long? 🌕🔥

And if you need support sorting through what’s rising, I’m offering personalized Full Moon Readings and Intuitive Coaching sessions through Soultitude.

There is something powerful about choosing yourself before life has to force the choice.
